Hello everyone, my last pattern Laya Cowl has just been released, it is a snood for child. The pattern is free! I think it’s a good gift idea for the end of the year.

Why a snood?

Claire is almost 3 years old, she is already at school. Many schools prohibit scarves because it could be dangerous for young children. But our child is cold anyway, so I thought to make a cowl, she can put it alone (unfortunately the ATSEM is not always available for everyone) during recess.

Which yarn?

This cowl is knitted with PHIL LAINE CACHEMIRE, a fingering yarn, 100 meters / 25 grams, 80% wool and 10% cashmere. It is very soft, I bought at half price 4 euros per ball, I used 2 balls to make this cowl.

A few words about the pattern

It is knitted with brioche and cables, I think it’s a nice combination that gives flexibility through the brioche. A small opening to sew 2 pompons, children like it no? It is folded in two to have a sufficient thickness.

Where to find the pattern?

You can see more information and pictures about the pattern in my pattern gallery, it can be downloaded on Ravelry.

ENJOY !
