Tiyuan is a cardigan knitted from the top down seamlessly, with the bubble stitch on the yoke. The kid version is here.

MATERIAL
Yarn: (3, 4)(4, 4, 4)(5, 5, 6) skeins of TOUGH SOCK (80% Wool, 20% nylon, fingering, 366m (400 yards)/100g, coouleurway: Squirrel Nutkin) of The Uncommon Thread or approximately (1090, 1187)(1258, 1327, 1422)(1555, 1752, 1925) meters or (1192, 1298)(1376, 1451, 1555)(1701, 1916, 2105) yards.
Or any other fingering weight yarn which provides the correct gauge.
Needles: 3mm/US2 and 3.5mm/US4 circular needles (at least 31 inch/ 80 cm long). Adjust needle size to obtain the correct gauge.
Other: markers, tapestry needle, stitch holders or waste yarn, 8 buttons of 2cm or ¾ in.

GAUGE
With 3.5mm needles, 23 sts and 32 rows = 10cm/4’’ in stockinette stitch, washed and blocked.
